The most radical change in long-term care regulations in fifteen years is about to go into effect October 1, 2010.  This is the updated Resident Assessment Instrument, or RAI, with Minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0.  I recently co-authored an article on revised MDS 3.0 Section M: Skin Condition which radically changes the process of wound and pressure ulcer assessment, and the topic has attracted so much attention that I have started a new blog category on revised MDS 3.0.
